Bishop McDevitt star tailback LeSean McCoy, who averaged more than 250 yards rushing and nearly three touchdowns per game last season, put up LeSeanish numbers again: 25 rushes for 224 yards and three touchdowns.
But the dinged-up McDevitt junior said he couldn't cut on a sore right ankle. State College's strong set of tacklers nailed McCoy for losses on eight carries, making his day as frustrating as it was productive.
"I can already tell it's different this year," McCoy said. "Everyone is keying on me now. I could hear them shouting out my name on every play."
