I also second that this needs a GPA.

Let me try and bring my optimistic point of view to the discussion.

QB's - I agree with all that is said I just think that I would have Smith ranked as 5*. I know there is still another year to play, but right now he is preseason second team all american and is right up there for top QB in the country.

RB's - I know this is a weird circumstance and is kinda hard to rate.

Wr's - I think with Holmes being the top WR taken in the draft and having 2.5 productive years would get him 5 stars. It is kinda like coming to college as rated the top WR. You get 5 stars. Well he left as the top WR off the board in the NFL draft so I think I would give him 5 stars. As for Hall he has his senior season and I think he will have a 1.5-2 star jump come next time your revisit this class.

O-line - As with Holmes I would have Mangold as a 5* he was the top center taken and a first round draft pick. I would also have Sims as 4* He played all 4 years he was here and was forced to play out of position until his senior year. Datish was one of the more productive players last year while playing out of position and Downing will be the leader up front this year. I would rate just that class as 4.5. But then we have Coleman who had injuries and Morris who had his own problems and Shafer who could start or be a quality backup this year. Overall I would say 4* b/c even tho we lost Morris and Coleman this class has still produced 4 very very solid olineman and one first round draft pick.

D-line - I think this group is going to be one that will jump up in rankings next time you do this. All have been solid so far and should all have impact senior years, much like Kudla did last year. Pittcock could end up a first rounder.

LB's - Gotta give this group 5 stars. One of the best ever and another first round draft pick. Carp and Hawk were mainstays for 4 years and were two of the best to ever go through here. As for D'Andrea he has had unfortunate injuries, and hopefully can get some time as a senior, but a class that has to first rounders and one of the top 3 lb's ever had to be a 5 star group.

DB's - I would say this was the most dissapointing group. Salley was solid, but at times his knack for going for the big hit instead of the ball got the best of him. Also Everett was solid and had a solid senior season and is now impressing for the Denver Broncos while Salley was picked up int he 4th round. Mictchell has one more go round and hopefully brings leadership to the defensive backfield in his senior season. Underwood was a huge dissapointment in the fact that he led his dad get too much involved with what he needed to do and Roberts was a reach and quite frankly he just wasnt an tOSU recruit.

Overall I give the class a 4* rating. Their record in bowl games wins over scUM and a national championship ring all speak for themselves. I think the redshirts from that class are just poised to make this class one of the best ever if not the best ever to go through tOSU.
