Most of the ratings services give guys who are the top 3 or 4 in the country at their position 5*. I think all 5 mentioned above fit that category.

Am I being too critical? Probably. But thanks to guys like Griffin, George, Pace, Parker, Hicks, Gradishar, Spielman, The Assassin, Big Daddy, Hopalong, Janowicz, Horvath, Harley, Fesler, Boston, Glenn, Doss, Winfield, Skladany, etc., the bar has been set pretty high at Ohio State. Hawk makes the "legends" list (five stars), Holmes, Carp, and Mangold are "near misses" (4-1/2 stars, but still great players). If Troy leads the Bucks to and NC in 2006, one could make a persuasive argument that he would be the best QB in Ohio State history (and thus a 5* player).
