Yeah, I know... the problem with that argument is that the Illini's greatness was too far back for today's prospects to really relate. I only know the bare minimum of Illinois' history (not much beyond Red Grange, Dick Butkus, and the rivalry with OSU), but I do respect their history--as well as the talent to be found in the Chicago area (not to mention other areas in the midwest). If the Zooker can tap the talent pool (and maybe hire outstanding assistants to run the team for him ), Illinois could start to make a lot of noise in coming years.

...All he has to do is work some verbal magic with some impressionable youngsters...
