Quick update on Ben. His first game of the season was a record setting performance. The Warhawks won a defensive and punting battle 10-0 against Dublin Jerome. Field position from his punting ultimately played a major role in Central's victory. Ben also kicked a 47 yard field goal for a new Central High School record. He had six punts (all spirals) for a 40+ yard average and all three of his kickoffs were into the endzone for touchbacks; the longest was a bomb 9 yards deep into the endzone with a 4.3 hang time! Ben was selected special teams player of the week by his coaches and is also the starting wide receiver who is respected for his good hands and especially his downfield blocking.
