MiamiRedHawks could go either way
i agree that they shouldn't be played in january and have no idea why they were moved there (int'l bowl is new, i realize).

honestly, i dislike how bowls are developed and distributed. its a joke! like most, i'm in favor of a playoff.

i like to see good seasons rewarded, no matter what conference. having the 7th place big ten team get a bowl is a joke, no matter how you slice it. so, does the 4th place team in the mac or cusa deserve a bowl?? probably not.

buckeyenut, i absolutely disagree with you on miami and marshall and their top ten rankings. its much easier to stay up in the rankings when you start out the season in the top 10.. but to climb there from out of nowhere is an accomplishment. in 2002 there were only 2-3 big ten teams who would've been favored vs. miami by the end of the year (osu, iowa, and michigan). they were certainly worthy of top 10 in my opinion, and obviously of the nat'l media, bcs poll, and coaches poll (11th I believe). to completely discredit all of those?? i think that's a bit reckless. its okay to give credit to good teams from the mac, buckeyenut! is that your handle on jjhuddle too?

btw, akron won the mac east right now due to a ridiculous tiebreaker (crossover opponents stength of schedule). miami beat akron at home 51-23.
