Painter said Ohio State is his pick to win the Big Ten title if the freshman center and former Lawrence North High School standout Greg Oden is healthy. Oden is recovering from a wrist injury that may keep him out until January.
"I think Greg Oden with four of you guys is pretty good,'' Painter told the assembled media. "He's the best player in college basketball. That's an easy statement, when he's healthy.''

Painter gets much respect from me. He's right on target.
