From a football standpoint, I think it might not be a terrible move - McCoy has proven much more than Tebow has this year, and they both have 3 years of eligibility remaining. He could RS, backup for 2 years and start for 2 years at either place. Not much difference really.

theoretically, he could get on the field a year sooner at texas as mccoy is a redshirt and could leave after next season if so inclined. tebow must stay at uf for at least 2 more years.
