osu

Exactly... IF you set a new earlier date they'll adjust. For one these kids usually know who are going to recruit them by March or April. If the deadline was set I believe the official visits would be set up in the summer. It would actually be better for the coaches and the current players because this way the recruits can be given full attention. Where this cannot be accomplished if you have them to a game... For sure there's no substitution for 105,000 people in the shoe on saturdays..

I think this has become way too much of a circus act though and I just wish kids would maybe take this thing a little bit more serious. Like I saw someone say, if someone says they're coming to OSU then backs out because it was some sort of publicity stunt then that hurts OSU. How? Because if we are in dire need of a DT for example (true) and we have a guy who commits but he was just pulling our chain. Now, because we thought this DT prospect was a lock, we ignored player X who really wanted to be a buckeye who has already committed elsewhere. Now we have ZERO DT's in a recruiting class and we're scrambling to find kids suitable to fill the need. If every kid just gave straight answers we'd be able to fill our needs a lot faster, but thats not the case.
