I grew up in the Ohio Valley, along the Ohio River, amongst the coal mines and steel mills. The Buckeye tradition was instilled in me from birth as my father is a diehard Buckeye fan. Upon graduating from The Ohio State University in 1999, I moved to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for what I thought was going to be a year of relaxation on the beach before Law School. I took advantage of SC's need for teachers and was hired as a high school English teacher. Years later, I am thankful I did not pursue Law as teaching and coaching has been a calling to me.
