I didn't know if it was a door that was left open or if JT said go ahead and play baseball but we might not have an opening later. I think that if the kid can hit 90 on the gun in HS then yes he should give it a try in the pros. Although I went to high school with a guy that was drafted by the Blue Jays in round 20 something. Went on to play Mili way and wound up the 22 pick over all after 3 years of college. (took a ball off the face in Columbus in his "homecoming" game and didn't pan out for that Yankees that I know of anyways)
It doesn't sound like a bad place to be in as an 18-19 year old SR in high school though does it?
