Former USC receiver O.J. Murdock has withdrawn from school and plans to enroll at a California junior college, according to a family friend. Murdock, a Tampa, Fla., native who quit the team in December before the Liberty Bowl, will enroll at El Camino College in April, said Romey Battle, who serves as a mentor to many Tampa-area athletes. Murdock hopes to play one season at El Camino and transfer to a Division I-A school, Battle said. Murdock, who was arrested last fall for shoplifting at a department store in his hometown, appeared in four games and caught one pass in two seasons with the Gamecocks.
