Sorry, but at some point the player has to be responsible for his actions. He knows he's under scrutiny for his previous act. He knows he's on scholarship. He knows he's supposed to attend class. If he's going to deviate from that plan, he needs to have sense enough to ASK HIS COACH about it BEFORE he does it.

Troy has as much responsibilty to know the rules as the coaches have to inform him of them. The evidence shows Troy failed to do his due diligence. All you're doing is assuming the coaches failed as well. No one is more responsible for the decisions we make than ourselves.

My sentiments exactly. Being the starting QB is more than just being a fast runner and having a strong arm. It's also about being a team leader, and making smart decisions. Troy needs to step up in both of those areas.
