Wells is a very interesting recruit. I was a bit surprised to read that Wells was one of a handful of specific recruits (along with Pryor, Hale, and a couple others) that Sweat mentioned that he wanted to help bring into
OSU with him. I am not sure if they have ever been on a visit together or not, but that did seem to tell me that Wells really is a priority for the staff this year.
I feel like we really have a good shot at him too. This is one of those cliche statements that I hate to use, but he does seem like a "Tressel-type recruit." He seems very hard working, intelligent and grounded. He also seems like the type of recruit who is more likely to go for Tressel's honest soft sell approach as opposed to a glitzier Pete Carroll type of recruiting effort. He reminds me a bit of Cam Heyward who did not make a ton of headlines and didn't really inspire a lot of message board chatter, but was a bigtime recruit who always seemed to have legitimate interest in
OSU (interest that was clearly mutual).
