Not to mention projected JR starters Terrance Taylor and Will Johnson, who will be seniors and locks as starters in 2008. McKinney, Slocum, and Patterson all have big-time talent and were very highly thought of by the services. Kates has alot of potential but there are alot of concerns about his work-ethic and committment to keeping his weight down. Ferrara will probably never be anything other than quality depth. Sagesse is very raw, but very athletic. I've heard very good things about him and his potential. Mike Martin is pretty much a Terrance Taylor clone, they are eerily similar in size (both 6'1, 300ish), hs athletics background (both heavyweight wrestling champs, shot-put champs, and heavy-weight power-lifters) ability, and playing style.

They've locked up some talented guys, and can afford to be a little more choosy than when we only had two commits at DL, and offered Goebel.
With plenty of tape on Kapron Lewis-Moore playing the DE in a 3-4 alignment, and Ethan Johnson being offered months earlier than Goebel, I have to believe those are the two the Irish will make a priority of, with a very small chance they start recruiting Marcus Forston as a DE.
