I'm of the frame of mind that, it doesn't matter what size/athleticsm you are, if you look like a natural at the position, and dominate at it, the measurables don't really matter.

Why move Hale from linebacker, a position he's already dominant at, to defensive end, a position that he would be required to learn and there is no gaurantee he'll be dominant at?

Now, using him in a carp OLB/LEO type role is a different story.

Besides, having a 6'4 260 lb linebacker roving the middle of our defense with the speed to keep up with most outside linebackers is never a bad situation. Brian Urlacher could tell you a bit about these type of measurables.
