Cretin Derham-Hall's potential All-America wide receiver gets no special treatment at home. He would prefer that at college, too. That's why he's taking a proactive approach in picking a college to further his education and promising football career.
Floyd was expected to be accompanied today by his mother, Theresa Romero, and Cretin offensive line coach Andy Bishoff for the start of a road trip that will take the group to four major colleges in six days.
"I want to learn more about the schools that are on my final list before I decide on official visits," Floyd said Wednesday. "I want to know what's real and what isn't."
Floyd, one of the nation's top recruits in the class of 2008, has narrowed his choices to seven schools - Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Wisconsin, his first stop Wednesday among the four unofficial visits.
