This seems somewhat painful from MVDad's posts. At least from his posts, it appears that Ryan is 100% Buckeye, loves the team, coaches, etc and leaving OSU wasn't an easy choice for him.

As OH8CH posted, there may be 2 dreams competing here: 1. Play college football and 2. Play for OSU. If one of my sons were in this position, how would I advise them? Honestly, I don't know.

MVDad seemd to make it clear that Ryan feels he might be behind too many great athletes right now. Maybe after rehab he didn't get back to where he was before the injury...I don't know.

Ryan believes that this is in his best interest as a football player and I, along with everyone else here, wish him the best of luck. After reading MVDad's posts, I feel that on some level I "feel" the angst that was in this decision. Ryan will always be a Buckeye!

Best of luck Ryan and continue to make the Buckeye nation proud on the field and in the classroom too!
