Trust me, they've been bad, I hear you. I watched the same Fiesta Bowl that you did. But they are
starting to fix that through recruiting. The past two years they've brought in four 4 star DBs, along with two more that have verballed in this class - worlds of difference when compared to the old regime. Plus, their new DC was the secondary coach with the Jets, so I'm willing to bet he'll be a boost for that unit as well.
Again, not saying that its anything like the Buckeye secondary, or that it's an established fixture for the defense yet. But the future at DB is brighter than the past.
But in the grand scheme of things, opposing DBs is probably a footnote in his decision.
