I am currently working on Southern Cal recruits for RecruitingPlanet.com, and the Trojans already have a verbal commitment from a 2009 OLB prospect by the name of Marquis Simmons. Simmons's stats are listed below:

Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 215 lbs
Forty: 4.69 secs
Shuttle: 4.56 secs
Vertical: 30 inches
Bench reps: 17 @ 150 lbs

So you can see, the height, weight, speed, and vertical numbers are almost identical, and Whiting has the clear edge in strength. Of course, both have are reputed to be excellent football players for kids who have just finished their sophomore years in high school.

The point is, if Simmons has enough athleticism for USC, then Whiting certainly has enough athleticism for OSU.
Good stuff LJB. Thanks.

BTW, I wasn't denying that Whiting wasn't athletic enough for OSU just that his slower 40 time stuck out, but you guys cleared that up for me. Thanks again.
