Running back Chris "Beanie" Wells could take pressure off the quarterback in the early part of the season.

Seven months removed from one of the bigger disappointments in Ohio State football history, a 41-14 loss to Florida in the national championship game, it's a new dawn for the Buckeyes as they report today for preseason camp.
Gone is almost every headliner from an exciting offense last season, including Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Troy Smith and game-breaker Ted Ginn Jr. Most of the starters from the defensive line and secondary departed, too. Back is All-America linebacker James Laurinaitis and his crew, which is why most fans and analysts expect this team to lean on its defense early as the offense finds its way.
