Maybe I am missing your point but there are tons of 6'5" SGs nowadays...and Dion projects as a 2/3 in basketball, although his father thinks he has a better shot of making it as a football player given his combination of size and speed. He would probably slim down a little if he were going the basketball route. 230 lbs. sounds more like his football playing weight.
OSU has recruited almost nothing but 6'5"+ combos lately:
Buford - 6'5"
Pryor - 6'6"
Cheek - 6'5"
Henry - 6'6"
Edward - 6'5"
McDonald - 6'4"
Thomas - 6'6"
I saw someone compare Sims' combination of athleticism and size to Pryor...only in the mold of a WR. I don't know if he is quite that athletic but he is very impressive. He idolizes Calvin Johnson, who was of a similar frame and size.
