His route running and quickness were always very good (in HS). Now that he's playing CFB it's good to see that he can make the adjustment so quickly to play at this level. Running track into June of this year had to help his conditioning (ie quickness) as he ran in the State finals in the 400. He actually ran against Brandon Saine in 2006 in that same event and took a fourth. And we have seen what a burner Zoom can be. These kids are very talented and full of surprises.

The things that are always impossible to measure are game smarts, the ability to adapt in a game, and to learn and and apply. Dane has those abilities (from my observations) and when Ohio State opens that playbook, we will witness how he does as a newbie. The skill set is there, now will he apply what he's learned and be productive? IMO, he will, just as Taurian and Brandon will show more of their stuff. Tressel saw these young men as "diamonds in the rough", it's his job to polish them to their fullest potential. The rest is up to them and how well they apply that skill.

Maybe an under-rated class has fewer lofty expectations to meet and more to prove. This is going to be a very good season as we watch them mature and produce.

Go Bucks!
