Women?s Cross Country Takes Fourth at Quad City Invite


COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women?s cross country team opened the 2007 season with a fourth-place finish Saturday at the Queen City Invitational.
The Buckeyes were led by freshman Ellen Birmingham, who placed ninth in the meet in a time of 18:51.85. Ashley Chirco was second on the team, finishing 26th in a time of 19:48.67. Kesha Brooks was directly behind Chirco in 27th with a time of 19:58.27. Katie Koehler (20:19.13) and Ashley Jones (20:34.56) rounded out the Top 5, finishing in 33rd and 41st.
The Buckeyes will compete next week at the Falcon Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio, Sept. 15.
