FSR 970 AM STATEMENT ON PENN STATE FOOTBALL
The comments made by Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley on this morning's In the Locker Room show regarding Penn State naming Tom Bradley as Coach Paterno's successor were introduced during the show as a rumor. Fox Sports Radio 970 has not reported this in our sports reports, nor have we stated this as fact. Please contact Penn State Sports Information for further information.

Statement from
Penn State Athletics:

Statements made on a Pittsburgh radio station earlier today regarding the future of Penn State Football Coach Joe Paterno are unfounded and untrue. The meeting described in the radio report did not occur. The Board of Trustees has not met since mid-September. In his weekly news conference this past Tuesday, Coach Paterno re-affirmed his commitment to continuing to lead the Nittany Lion Football program. Any other statements to the contrary are untrue.
