I think what LJB meant was not that our Fans aren't part of what makes Ohio State great...rather that fans being loud and 'off the hook' crazy at a football game isn't why The Ohio State University is great. It obviously goes well beyond that.

OSU vs. scUM is the best atmoshere in college sports imo, and our fans get as loud and energetic as one can imagine from my own experience, but that atmosphere and our fan's energy at that game, or when we travel and can be seen and heard @ an away Washington Game is not what makes tOSU great...a portion of it, sure, but not close to the top of the list.

I think that was the point. Any recruit who decides to attend, or not attend tOSU based on our fan's vocal prowess at any particular contest is 'missing the boat' imo.
