The only scheduled official football recruiting visit for Cretin-Derham Hall wide receiver Michael Floyd is to Notre Dame on Oct. 20 for its game against Southern California. The state's top football prospect will visit South Bend, Ind., with his parents.

Meanwhile, Ohio State wide receivers coach Darrell Hazell, who has coached nine No. 1 NFL draft picks, will attend Cretin-Derham Hall's game against Roseville tonight at the University of St. Thomas. Floyd will attend Saturday night's Gophers-Ohio State game in the Metrodome.

Ohio State and Notre Dame are the front-runners for Floyd, who has a 3.3 grade-point average. The Gophers remain hopeful.

Ohio State doesn't schedule official recruiting visits until after its season, so if Floyd decides to commit before December, which is a possibility, that would seem to favor Notre Dame.
