I've been thinking the same thing as Sandgk, that Weis opted to play his starters when he could have been getting his younger guys in there. And I believe the reason is that he wanted Quinn to get the Heisman and a high draft pick. In other words, it was more important for him to show off the sporty new Weis offense, than worry about the younger kids.

I might be wrong, but it sure smells that way to me.
