Sir Charles would have been front and center, with arms upraised, Super Bowl rings gleaming in the sunlight. Sorry, can't have it both ways. For a team like Notre Dame to perform in this drastic of a fashion, the head guy takes the hit. It's one thing to lose games, it's quite another to get your butt kicked on a weekly basis, with the resources and supposed talent available.
