The recording industry is still thinking like it's the 80s. The are fighting a losing battle with technology. Groups can market themselves and record themselves and make and sell their own CDs.
What do they(groups)need the big recording industry for?

Personally, I find Radiohead's music lacking. It all sounds like re-worked Beatles music.
