I could be wrong but I think it only hurts our APR if they don't graduate while they're still enrolled. I don't think just leaving early hurts. If they finish their courses for that year, they're fine.

And the great thing is, these kids aren't just great basketball players. Thad Matta has ridiculous recruiting skills, and he gets the players he wants, period. If he wants a team full of players that can play some serious ball and are motivated academically, even if there are only a few in the country, he will get them. And he is getting them. A lot of them.

The only unfortunate thing is that, yes, most of these players will be one and done, or two and done. But that's a small price to pay for the success that Matta is bringing to this program. Our basketball program will soon be as good as our football program, and it isn't unreasonable for us to have the kind of success that Florida had last year... Consistently. Not necessarily 2 national championships in the same year... But Rose bowl victories and final four appearances year in and year out.

Thad Matta is an amazing, amazing man. Wow. His '10 class is already better than most people's '08 classes... I'm completely astounded.
