I get your points guys, it's been fun. OSUgrad, I'm really not biased, I think I've just been trying to discuss the recruiting process and what "my opinions" are. I do believe that is what these forums are about.
My point was not that they don't recruit "blue chip" guys or highly ranked guys (and who cares about rankings from the scout services). One final attempt, they usually don't get the elite "passing" types like the Mannings, Quinn, Marino, etc.
They do get great athletes without a doubt. I have been trying to differentiate between "great athletes" and "great passing QBs".
Padraig, your comment about Krenzle, he is the poster boy for the QB I've been trying to describe for JTs style. And I've said a million times that that is OK. JT has proven to win "his way" with "his kind of guys". Whether he gets a Krenzle or a Smith, both great in their own right, he will win. I'm just saying he doesn't go after or he doesn't get, the Manning types. It doesn't fit his style or theirs.
No bias, no malice. Just thoughts for the sake of discussion. Which we have done and as for me we've done it enough. See you on another thread.
