Just watched Mooney vs Columbus Bishop Watterson (Mooney was up 28-0 when I left)

...I was impressed, but not as much as I thought I would be...some of my thoughts:

- Zordich: better speed east and west than I had heard - CM runs some of those counter sweeps where the play brings you left and he comes back right (or vice versa). He had several runs like that where he just got outside the tackles and had some nice runs. I have a hard time seeing him play fullback in the Big 10 - but I think he will be a solid Big 10 LB (with another 25 lbs).

- Taylor Hill: Hill has a frame that can be expanded. I think it will be interesting to see where he projects at Oklahoma - definitely not a DL due to lack of height (barely 6'3") but he could be a game changer at LB or SS. I came away very impressed with Hill.

- McCarthy: so-so arm, but absolutely outstanding in the open field. Once he gets to the corner, he is gone. He could have run for 200 yards tonight if he wanted to - the QB keeper was wide _ss open all night.

- Beachum: Beachum is a tough, hard nosed runner. He is a JoePa type of kid - solid, not spectacular. I can see why he blows up the combines. His thighs are thick, runs with great balance. I thought his vision could be a little better in the open field, but my assumption is he is being taught to hit the hole no matter what his instincts say.

- Simon: overpursued a few plays, but often demanded double teams. He is a beast. I can't wait to see him this time next year! Runs well for a big guy and I think his frame can easily get up to 295/300 lbs in college.

Finally, does anyone know who #28 is for YCM? Wow. This kid barely sees the field, played a little DE, but he is as tall as Simon (6'4" ish), passes the look test - he appeared, along w/ Simon, to be the most physically imposing player on the YCM roster.

Mods, feel free to move to the individual player threads if necessary. Since this was focused on the YCM team, i thought this was the best place.
