I don't recall it being a last second switch by Illinois. Even if so, it's on our special teams coach(es) to have people ready to go when the opponent is on fourth down, just for this exact scanario. As soon as Illinois brought their punt team on the field (IIRC, they didn't exactly Chinese-firedrill run on the field) we should've brought ours on.
