1. Post your guess in this thread, then place a bet on the event.
2. All bets should be in the amount of $50.
3. This ain't the Price is Right, so your guess may not be within 50 of a previous bet. If it is I will make that person the winner if the actual total is within 50 of their wager - and I will keep your money.
For example. Say Grad21 guesses 64,500. BuckeyeNation27 (I am only using him as an example because the stupid SOB can't follow instructions) guesses 64,510 - only 10 more than Grad21. If the "official" attendance is 64,540 Grad21 wins because he effectively 'reserved' the range from 64,450 to 64,550 when he placed his wager. However, if the attendance is 64,555 Nation27 would get the win. (If this makes any sense let me know and I will try to make it even more convulted.)
4. The official attendance for this event will be what is reported in the Columbus Dispatch.
5. Once the official attendance it determined I will declare everyone a loser on the original bet (we ARE betting pretend money on how many folks will show up to watch a practice game on an otherwise perfectly useful Spring day - so delcaring everyone a loser isn't much of a stretch)
6. I will then set up a follow up bet paying odds based on the total wagered (unfotunately this is the only way we can do pari-mutuel betting using this software). Only the winner will be invited to bet on that event.
7. If you don't have $50, bet incorrectly before reading this post, or do something else stupid please don't bother to PM me. I'm just the vBooky - I didn't take you to raise.

2. More on the NFL draft (in addition to above) post dated 12 Mar 06, since I will be home for the draft after all. I had a transAtlantic cruise booked, and Princess cancelled it due to the fire on the ship (Star Princess). The ship is currently in Germany undergoing repairs. I know everyone on this board is really sorry my cruise was cancelled. Several mock drafts have up to 5 Ohio State players going in the late first round (with AJ going early in the first round), example FOX Sports (below):

The Patriots rarely draft for need, but with a hole at linebacker and the versatile, instinctive Carpenter on the board, the pick makes too much sense not to be given strong consideration. A strong defense and the running of rookie Cadillac Williams receives much of the credit for the Bucs making the playoffs last year, but the resurrection of Joey Galloway was arguably the biggest factor. His 83 receptions for 1,287 yards and 10 touchdowns topped his numbers for the previous two seasons combined. It might be asking a bit much for the 34-year-old to repeat that production in 2006. Holmes would provide an immediate upgrade in the slot and would eventually take Galloway's place as the outside vertical threat.

What happens with the Jets' first pick, No. 4 overall, obviously will have a huge impact on what the Jets are looking to do here. If they draft Ferguson, they aren't likely to add another lineman in the first round. But if they fill another need at No. 4, Mangold would be a nice addition for a line that recently signed versatile veteran Trey Teague, who can play tackle or center.
