Encouraging News
"DeShaun's commitment to Ohio State is solid," Bryant Hobbs, coach of the Spiece Indy Heat summer team for which Thomas plays, told Rivals.com in Las Vegas. "He really enjoyed his visit there (in May) and is comfortable with the coaching staff."

Some of the state's top high school basketball players will be on display in the Circle City Classic's Challenge of Champions scheduled for Dec. 8 in Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Fort Wayne Luers sophomore DeShaun Thomas, rated as one of the top five players in the nation in the Class of 2010, and Lawrence North forward Stephan Van Treese, one of the state's highest-ranked juniors, headline the field.
Other schools in the event are Class 4A runner-up North Central, Class 4A champion East Chicago Central, Marion, Lafayette Jeff, Brownsburg, Batesville, Howe and Warren Central. Specific matchups are to be set.
Warren Central is led by Ohio State recruit Walter Offutt, and Marion includes North Carolina State recruit Julius Mays. Batesville has high-scoring junior guard Colt Ryan, and Howe returns the school's all-time leading scorer, IUPUI-bound Larry Stone.

The other two out of state prospects are Texas guard K.C. Ross-Miller and heralded Indiana star DeShaun Thomas. Ross-Miller gives Kentucky two pledges in the class of 2010, and Thomas is Ohio State's second 2010 commitment.

That's what I figured. It was the first new news in a while that mentioned Thomas' commitment, thats the only reason I thought it was worth posting.
