Orton visited Kentucky's campus for an AAU camp but did not participate due to an injury. Orton enjoyed his time on campus and was impressed by the program. Orton has taken unofficial visits to UCLA, USC, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kentucky. Arizona, Kansas, Ohio State, Texas, LSU and UConn are involved.

Orton Goes Camping; Claims Favorite............In this update, Orton claims Kentucky is sticking out at this point. Names Ohio State, UCLA, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and UConn as his top seven schools. Orton wants to narrow his list to five schools before the end of summer and then take official visits.

From BG.....Talks about his experience at the NBA Players Association top 100 camp. Top 7 of UCLA, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Ohio State, Connecticut and Kentucky. Says he will most likely take an official visit to Ohio State and plans to make a decision during the late signing period.

If he is going to wait until the Spring  signing date, I think that is really going to put the coaching staff in a bind because we will really need a big guy for 2009 if BJ leaves early. I know we will still have Dallas but we will need another big guy to supplement him even if we do get the transfer from Iowa State.
