The recruiting services don't look for a guy that isn't a high point guy that does everything else...They look for points...Thus the reason why Wright is not rated...
Surprised to see Golden drop so far...There were AAU tourneys when their scouts said he played the best on his team which includes Derrick Favors...He played up a league all spring and has played well...I would say it has to do with them thinking that he might be more of a SG in a PGs body...
Nice to see Thomas and Sullinger in the top 10...I really think that Sullinger, if he grows, and continues to dominate he could very well end up in the top spot by the time the last rankings come out...
Really surprised by the fact that Payne is ahead of Hairston...The kid is blowing up, I really hope it is just a matter of time before he gets an offer...
As for the Sibert vs Johnson debate it looks like Rivals liks Johnson better at the time being...
I would love to see this class go with 6 guys...
Sullinger, Payne/Hairston, Wright, Golden, Thomas, Johnson/Sibert...

I think it's kind of funny that the #1 player has a promising skill set and #2 is rapidly developing, while Sullinger at #3 produces. I'd figure that the guy producing now would be the #1 player now. Unless, those two guys are already better than Sullinger and in 2 years they'll be much better.

I was surprised when I saw Payne ranked that high. He is only one notch above Hairston which is no big deal. It is the fact that he is rated #15.
The class that you would like to see would be very nice and I think it is highly possible that it could come true.

Rivals Top 150 as of 8/26/2008
Players of interest for Ohio State
#3 Jared Sullinger
#8 DeShaun Thomas
#10 Adreian Payne
#14 Josh Hairston
#18 Jordan Sibert
#49 Anthony Johnson
#72 Trae Golden
#89 Russell Byrd
#97 Lenzelle Smith
Cameron Wright is not listed in the top 150. Hopefully, this is because he did not play and a elite AAU team this past summer.

I would be curious if Indiana high school people would say that Ferguson should be ranked ahead of Thomas...
