So you've got that going for you, which is nice. I see Conley gone. He is really a baller. More upside than the big. |

He simply could be keeping his options open. He seems smart enough to realize that even if he's 99% set on leaving early that it's in his best interest to keep the schoolwork up to snuff to cover that remaining 1%. Of course, his not being in class could be a serious indicator of his leaving, but his being in class really doesn't mean the chances of his leaving are any less...

I've been saying he was gone for over a month now. I base that on what I would do in his position. If I have as much affinity for tOSU as I do, and I would still leave, then the decision is clear.
It's just a shame the Cavs can't get him. |

And I also agree with the part about the Cavs. |

Mike Conley Sr. Making Noises that Can't Please Ohio State

I think Conley Sr. will be remembered as a villain around town, for years to come. I personally think that he's one of the main driving forces urging Mike and Greg to enter the NBa. I said on here a few days ago that I wouldn't be surprised if Conley Jr. left, despite him adamantly saying he'd stay after the title game. It's just that recent history has shown that when kids make passes and are vocal about staying that they usually will end up leaving.
Remember when Oden said don't be surprised if he stayed all four years? That was months ago, but it's humerous now when we look back. |

That's silly. At worst, he gave a misleading impression about his son's likelihood of leaving after his freshman season. That's hardly villainous conduct. There's absolutely no reason to imagine he's making his son (much less Oden) leave school against his will.

Inexcusable if you ask me. |

Dude, I'm talking about as fans go. It's all rosey and everything to want what's best for these kids. It's all good to think that they should get theirs, but take off that parental hat for a second and think like the fan that I know you are. I know that a lot of people have been on pins and needles wanting to see these kids come back. Yes, as the fan I think you can see he's somewhat of a deterring force.

I agree. If that happens, it would be shameful. It's his job to look out for his son. He owes us nothing... |
