This week hasn't been any different except for the fact that i'm not in school anymore. I think that alot of things will be easier now that schools out and i can just focus on basketball. It was really hard trying to split time between school and preparing for the NBA.

I like the scenario in the article with the Bulls trading Conley to the Blazers for Randolph. Unfortunately, I don't see Conley lasting past the Hawks at #3.

CONLEY DRAWS PRAISE: Bucks officials were generally impressed by Michael Conley II?s workout Monday at the Cousins Center.

?It was just as good as last Friday?s workout with Brandan Wright (of North Carolina),?? Bucks player personnel director Dave Babcock said.

As expected, the Ohio State point guard, who is clearly the best player at his position in the draft, breezed through the passing and dribbling portions of the workout. He also occasionally flashed his mad athletic skills.

Of course, Bucks officials were already aware of Conley?s physical abilities. At the recent NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando, Fla., Conley graded out as the fourth-best athlete in the draft. He had a vertical leap of 40 1/2 inches. Conley claims he?s jumped as high as 42 inches.

But Conley was also erratic with his perimeter shooting, one time shooting an airball on a 3-point attempt. He later admitted his shot was ?inconsistent.?? More surprisingly, though, Conley wasn?t in tip-top condition.

Conley broke out in a deep sweat early in the workout and his jersey was thoroughly drenched when his 45-minute audition concluded. He took several breaks in the workout and, at one point, cramped up.

Conley admitted he has some conditioning work to do, adding ?Sometimes I got a little tired. I have to get my conditioning a little better.??

The Bucks were the third team to work Conley out. Earlier, the 19-year-old Conley worked out for Memphis and Chicago. He will also work out for Minnesota (seventh pick) and Atlanta (third).

Ohio State freshman Mike Conley Jr. showed Monday why he is considered the top point guard in the June 28 National Basketball Association draft.
The 19-year-old handled everything thrown at him in a fast-paced one-hour workout, and he even showed a better outside shooting touch than expected.

Draft Dish: Conley could go to Grizzlies

News and notes leading up to next week's NBA draft.

Keep an eye on point guard Mike Conley possibly climbing all the way up to Memphis at No. 4 in the draft. The Grizzlies have holes all over the roster, but they also have a new coach, Marc Iavaroni, who spent five years working with Mike D'Antoni in Phoenix and would like to keep Memphis in an up-tempo mindset. Problem is, the Grizzlies point guards are Damon Stoudamire and Chucky Atkins. Atkins is a free agent and Stoudamire will be 34 in September, so if Memphis is to focus on the fast break, the team will need an infusion of speed at the point.

Conley has been conjuring images of PG Tony Parker with his speed in workouts, and had a run-of-the-mill 11.63 in the shuttle run at the predraft camp -- but, he says, "I fell down in the middle of it." He was still ranked the fourth-best athlete in the draft. Conley worked out for the Grizzlies last week, his first of the year, and reports that it went well. "They told me they want to add a point guard," Conley says, though the Grizzlies could accomplish that in free agency.

Conley also worked out for Chicago on Saturday, Milwaukee on Monday and will work for Minnesota and Atlanta before the draft comes around. I watched his workout on Monday, which took place in the Bucks' practice gym in front of a dozen team officials, including the owner, Sen. Herb Kohl (I neglected to ask the Senator about the status of the immigration bill). Conley's speed and ballhandling was impressive, and he knocked down midrange jumpers off of screens with remarkable consistency. He was inconsistent with his 3-point shots, though. He made 5-of-7 from the right corner, struggled from the right wing (5-of-13), then started 0-for-3 from the top of the key. At that point, the workout was stopped so Conley could get a breath. He came back with three more misses from the top of the key, then went on a hot streak, going 5-for-6. He closed strong, making 5-of-8 to finish the left wing and 5-of-7 in the left corner. "I know I can shoot from the outside," Conley said. "Just, sometimes, it can be inconsistent and that's frustrating."

I'm hoping for Atlanta, but it seems like they're going for Horford(I think that's who I read they like). Memphis is a basketball black hole, but from a personnel POV, it works. They have a lot of athletes that Mike can Dish the ball to. He'll be the starter from day one. I'd still rather see him going somewhere else, somewhere where his talents will actually be watched and appreciated.

Why not try and take him at 11?

If that's true, this will be the second draft in a row that they severely reach for a good player. Sheldon Williams last year and Law this year. They're both good players, but there's no way in hell Acie Law should be going in the top ten this year, let alone top three.

Of ALL THE YEARS for the Warriors to NOT suck, this had to be the one. Of course. To watch Conley on a regular basis would be amazing as a Buckeye.

Missing out on Oden, Yi JianLian(sp), Conley, Durant, and Horford stinks.
