Damn. Hate to lose Tucker so soon, I was hoping he'd stay a couple of more years. Can't really blame a guy for taking the money and going pro, though.
Should we start a Rumor Mill thread on possible replacements? |

It was inevitable that this guy would go eventually. He's too good not to. Wish him well and wait for the next hire. Fortunately I think our D will be without Tucker, tho we have little time to hire one before spring. We might have known this was coming tho.

Not only an instrumental part of our D, but one of the best recruiters on the coaching staff.

Damn. Congrats to Coach Tucker and the Browns hired a good one. I just hate to lose such good coaches.

Good luck to Mel. But man how much will this affect this years bucks? I hope they did see something like this coming, and have been adjusting accordingly.

Congrats to Coach Tucker -- this is a great move for him. It's also nice to see him stay in Ohio, and if he's going to the NFL nice to see him with the Browns.
It's a big loss for our staff, but I really think that Tressel has a great eye for young coaches and that he'll find someone outstanding to bring into the program, just like he found Coach Hazell. |

Damn, that sucks. And since I'm not a Clowns fan, I have no consolation prize like some of you....but then I guess this isn't about me, is it?
Good luck coach. I wish you the best. |

Best of luck Coach...thanks for your contributions

Well he definitely contributed a lot to the Buckeyes in his short time here. Can't blame him for jumping up to the big leagues, and he's also going back home to Cleveland. I hope he does well.
I think we'll come out of this fine. Nobody knew who Tucker was when JT hired him 4 years ago. Nobody knew who Hazell was last year when JT brought him aboard either. I'm guessing he'll find another young up-and-comer to coach the DB's. Tim Walton may be a pipe dream, but he would be an awesome replacement. |

Coach Tucker is a great coach, his loss will by felt. With that said, tOSU will bring in another good to great coach to fill his position. Its a given.
Good luck in Cleveland Coach Tucker. |

Well, with how good our defense has been for the past few years I guess it would be naive of us to believe that none of them would get promotions elsewhere. Can you imagine had we lost Snyder AND Tucker this offseason? I think that would have been majorly tough to overcome.
I think Tressel makes good hires and will do fine with whomever he feels fit to handle the position. |
