Antonio has verbaled to Ohio State.Henton verballed to the staff early in the afternoon today.

What I like about his numbers is the 19 Tds, and 5 Ints'..... also if my numbers are correct he's averaging about 25 yards per completion. His team must not throw the ball much if he only threw it around 150 times or so.

Look folks this is crazy that other sources are reporting TOTALLY false information.


I just got off the phone with Antonio and he said that he is "not going to make any decisions until he goes back and talks with his mother first. I have not verballed at all and I don't know where that came from at all....nobody has talked to me about it."

SGN didn't speculate with Kurt Coleman today, we had the facts both in person and by phone and we had it 5 hours before anyone else. And tonight we are forced to put down a baseless rumor that should have never been run with in the first place.

Will he eventually be a Buckeye, stay here, but stay here for accurate information with sources.

This makes for some interesting drama. The Rivals database doesn't show Henton as a verbal yet, despite the article, but sometimes those aren't updated immediately.

Exactly. It usually takes at least several days before databases are updated after articles.

It's time we resolve this soap opera regarding the Holy Trinity once and for all. I asked my Magic 8-Ball the following question:

Well, I was going to hold off on updating our recruiting database with his commitment, but if Scout$ has both an article saying he committed and an updated database showing that commitment, I'm updating ours, too. If it does indeed turn out to be premature, I'll just change it back.

none of the previous posts have been real clear, is he coming to tOSU as a quarterback or as a different position? appearantly has great athletic ability, so will he try another position to get on the field sooner?

the kid is a great athlete like Troy Smith... but do not get hung up on the fact that he's a dual threat QB... this kid can pass the ball. I did not see very much today (only there for a little over an hour), but it became very clear that the kid was a polished QB.

I'd be curious to hear the source of the verbal. I bet the kid will verbal officially very soon, but to give two starkly conflicting reports on his verbal status is surprising.

The only hints you will get about that are from anything Antonio says. The coaches can't comment and it has pretty much been JTs approach to leave it open on where kids might end up. Even Troy Smith was speculated to be playing other than QB when he was originally recruited.

All indications from this thread and other threads that touch on the QB scenario are that Henton has been the top dual-threat QB target for the Bucks since Williams verballed to Illinois. The Buckeye staff obviously figures they are set with pocket passers for the future with Boeckman and Shoenhoft, so they were particularly targetting someone who could give them a different look.

thats good to know.. i guess know that i think about it, with the depth we have in the secondary and WR the most idealistic postion would be quarterback. either way, its good to have him aboard
