Tressel and Jim Brown must be pretty close...it appears most here have forgotten the NBA Championship game where they showed Tressel and Brown sitting next to each other courtside

Maybe introduction to JB is a secret character test. One that few have passed if any. Is Beanie the one???

I hope the advice Brown might have given to Clarett is different than the advice he is giving Beanie.
Meanwhile Beanie talks about his role. Lima News Wells to lead OSU attack Jim Naveau | jnaveau@limanews.com - 08.10.2007 COLUMBUS ? Ohio State sophomore tailback Chris Wells had two messages to deliver at the Buckeyes football media day on Thursday. One was for the media. The other was for whoever cared to listen. First, he told the media that he prefers to be called by his childhood nickname ?Beanie,? rather than his given name. And, more importantly, he passed the word that he wants to get the ball and he wants to get it often. He wasn?t overt in expressing his desire to carry the offensive load in the running game. But he wanted to make it clear he is ready to do just that. ?The day after the season was over, I was in the weight room, preparing myself to take over the load,? the 6-2, 230-pound sophomore said. ?I just wasn?t in shape like I wanted to be last year. Probably I didn?t know what the college game demanded. Coming from high school to college is a big transition,? he said. |

He will get the ball a lot the whole season which will open up the passing game the whole season.

I think this Laurinaitis quote sums up Beanie quite nicely......

SI.com
SI rates the Top 20 backs in college football next year and Beanie comes in at #11. Antonio Pittman left early for the NFL, meaning "Beanie" has the full workload in 2007. With Ohio State's question mark at quarterback, you can be sure Jim Tressel's offense will ride this talented sophomore. |

Hmmmmm...
Whether or not Beanie is the 11th best running back in the country; it is a virtual certainty that the national perception of him will move well north of that figure by seasons end. Consider:

Building upon what DBB posted above, should The Game again end up being a meeting of two highly-ranked undefeated teams and Beanie rushes for 100+ in a victory, he could end up getting an invite to NYC this year...
