well, mccoy is done for the year, so dont expect wells to jump him in the rivals rankings.

Somebody at rivals strongly believes that McCoy is the better running back, I would like to see some of his highlights to compare to the ones I've seen of Wells. Can somone who has seen them both compare for me?

I forget where it was, but I came across a website where you were able to download McCoy's highschool games. He was no doubt good, but I'd take wells over him any day. He's more of a homerun hitter than wells, but can't move the chains nearly as well. He doesn't run with alot of power despite being around 205 - 210 pounds. He has a HUGE upside however. He has tons of speed, is a good receiver, and has moves as good as, or better than Tomlinson does at this point. Once he learns to lower his shoulder, and gain 5 yards instead of trying to gain 50, he'll be great. He deserves the ranking, but he's not on Well's level.

Haha thanks yeah I figured I just misunderstood the term if he was ranked in the top ten in the country. However I would have worded it something like " Hands down the best back in the country."

Regardless who is considered better, Wells or McCoy..........Chris Wells is exactly what Ohio State wants in a tailback and is a prefect fit for Coach Tressel's offensive philosophy.

Well... perhaps it was a bit of a overstatement, but he has some crazy moves. Very much LT like in his stutter step. I just thought his running style was really similar.

Both are great runners now, but who will make the transition to college better? No one can predict that.

You can be the most physical and elusive running back out there, but you've got to have durability. That's a very important aspect for a running back. Wells definately took a beating this year. Every team was gunning for him and he held up well.

Gary on BN says that wells will take an official to usc this weekend, but adds the disclaimer that there is nothing to worry about. he isnt even bringing his parents with him, so that tells you what his intentions are.
Gary also said that wells will be at osu for the NW game, and will likely take his official on osu's big recruiting weekend.

it wouldnt matter if wells stood up at papdakis' resteraunt and told everyone that usc could suck goat balls, it will be inevitable to hear that he gave petey the secret wink, and snoop dog took him to the LBC later on to lay down a few tracks with Dre.
