Portland is going to be pretty sick. As long as Aldridge develops (as he has the talent to do so), he could be a pretty nasty power forward, and let Oden take over the Center duties.
I don't know that much about Randolph except that he's a good player, could he play SF? And Brandon Roy is a given, great fit with Oden as the rookie of the year, and the backcourt counterpart. I think they could be an awesome duo in the future. By the way, how has Jarrett Jack done in the NBA? I know he was pretty damn good player at GT. |

![]() all i needed to see, besides what i've already seen, are oden's ball handling skills to recognize that he will definitely be one of the best ever basketball players. i can't even imagine just how dominating he'll be when he adds another 30 or so pounds. |

Oden destined for Pacific Northwest? In a surprise, Portland and Seattle land top two picks in NBA draft, making Boston, Memphis even bigger losers. By the Associated Press Wednesday, May 23, 2007 The Portland Trail Blazers pulled the upset, and now it looks as if Greg Oden, the 7-foot Ohio State center, might start his NBA career in the Pacific Northwest, one way or another. Portland, the franchise that once drafted Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan, won the draft lottery Tuesday despite having just a 5.3 percent chance at the No. 1 pick. Cont... |

OSU's Oden set to join U.S. team By the Associated Press Wednesday, May 23, 2007 Greg Oden and Kevin Durant are in, and Tayshaun Prince and Tyson Chandler are joining them. USA Basketball is making a number of changes to this summer's roster, with the Americans adding the two college stars and a couple of defensive specialists but losing Dwyane Wade and some key players because of injuries. OSU men's basketball: Oden's exit unlikely to cost a scholarship Wednesday, May 23, 2007 3:25 AM By Bob Baptist THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH Greg Oden is gone but is not expected to be taking a scholarship with him. Well, I'm already staying up all night to watch the Nuggets and Suns, so I might as well add on the Trail Blazers.

Does anyone know when we'll be able to watch Oden play for the USA team? I forget, are national games on durring the summer I guess? I'm looking forward to seeing Oden and Durrant playing together. (Also, I know Kosta is working out with the Greece team this summer, is he going to be playing games with them and maybe playing against Oden?)

I don't know the answer, other than Kosta is no longer working out with the Greece team (see his thread).

Now that it sinks in ... I'm gonna miss Oden. It was great to watch him play for the bucks this year.
Good Luck to Greg. |

There will be no holdout. His NBA contract (salary) will be automatically determined by his draft position per the current collective barganing agreement. Check out the 2007-08 NBA Rookie Scale.
http://www.nbpa.com/cba_exhibits/exhibitB.php He (actually his agent) will negociate for many more millions for a shoe contract, other endorcements, trading card deal, and appearances, etc. He will be getting "lots of money". ![]() |
