Good point Bucknut11............
Koufos can score from the inside and outside, obviously he needs to get stronger, but that will come in time. He has a ton of potential and I hope that he decides to stay in Ohio and attend Ohio State.
Many believe he is a silent verbal along with Dallas Lauderdale.

Anyone doubt how much Matta's done for this program in just over a year's time?

No doubting here!
Those of us who are nostalgic about the days of Herb Williams, Kelvin Ransey, Carter Scott, and Clark Kellogg are just salivating over the great basketball that will be played in Columbus from now on.

I think 44820 hit the nail on the head...while Koufos, Lauderdale and Diebler would be a great start to the '07 haul, you don't pass on kids like Alabi or Love. What position you are labeled as is more important when it comes to your responsibilities, especially defensively. But if you can get a lineup out there in '08 that includes the likes of Lauderdale, Koufos, Diebler, and a warm body (Love, Alabi, Pope, Chris Wright, etc.), you do it. But if those others all decide to go elsewhere, the best pure SG in the class would be a nice addition to the Ohio 3.

Koufos visited <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Maryland this summer on an unofficial visit. He has family in Maryland. Koufos says he really likes the Ohio State staff and called the Texas game “unbelievable”. Ohio State, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois and Duke are some schools he interested in. He says a verbal will most likely not happen anytime soon.

Koufos is basically a buckeye. The only other school that could draw him away is Maryland.

Kosta is my favorite recruit because he leads the country in Freudian slips...
