I think as a group, the offensive line did some good things. I have to admit I was suprised by Datish's performance. Lets hope he builds on this game.

With Barton, Boone, and Rehring at tackle next year does anyone else think that Datish will move over to guard to make room for the bigger tackles? Depending on Cordle's recovery and progress Datish could see time at center next year as well. He has been the backup center for the past 2 seasons. There should be some good battles on the OL this spring.

Datish played great last night!
However, I think that Datish slides into Sims position at guard. Boone and Barton will be at the tackles next season and Cordle will be at center! |

) he is healed and ready to go...he's been in good condition for several weeks, but he was redshirted...he seems like a good kid, I certainly hope the best for him.Hopefully he can be the dominant guy he was in HS, and that the good talk we heard about him in Spring/Fall is true, because if it is we'll have a strong OL for many many years to come. |

I think Cordle has great upside but with the center responsible for making the line calls I'd feel more comfortable with Datish at center. With two new men moving in I think the line would grow faster with Datish providing the leadership at center. Cordle could move in at center later in the year if any starter went down. Obviously Datish can play all 3 positions.

Hawg, you're the OL guru here, you tell us!
![]() I like what I've heard about Cordle, but I'd feel most comfortable if Datish was manning Center next year. Having a 5th year, battle-tested senior calling the blocking assignments seems better to me. Datish has been one of the most improved players on the team this year and he's certainly now one of the better players on the line. I'd like to see something like Boone, (Mitchum or Person, maybe Rehring)?, Datish, Downing, and Barton across the front. As for the guys yesterday, the sig says it all... "We really pounded them all night. Even in pass pro we were clouting them pretty hard, and that wears on a team. Eventually they just broke." -- Kirk Barton. |

What play did you watch? Ginn blew by him at the 30, danced around at the 10 and still beat him to the endzone.
