does anyone know why hes not ranked by anyone or has any stars, i mean hes not even in the NJ top 30, hes got good numbers 6'0 185 4.4, safety or corner, he should be ranked, hmmmm

BuckFromHeck stars don't mean alot its just a way for fans to gauge a recruits talent. If JT offered the kid IMO hes the real deal. We could have the best safety class ever. AMW,Daniels, Oatis, and Jenkins would be a nice addition to an already strong defensive backfield. Some of these guys might move to different positions when they get to OSU.

Some kids aren't on the radar because they don't go to alot of camps or they aren't publicity hounds. Some kids don't send their films to schools unless they like the school. Sirjo Welch was that way last year. Nobody ever heard of this kid until he sent his film out and received 10-12 offers in a week. IMO players like Jenkins are great finds and show how the Insiders and Rivals don't know more than our coaches. Our coaches know the type of players they want and know which ones fit the system.

That is the second kid who mentioned learning more at OSU than anywhere else. Nice contrast to camps like ND where I have read that the kids felt they were there solely to be evaluated (which I believe is an NCAA rules violation).

Great get, this was a camp offer, the coaches saw him first hand.

I remember a few other camp offers of 'lower' rated players like AJ Hawk, Rob Simms, & Nick Mangold that have paid off.

I'd like to know more about his camp and what prompted us to offer, but JT saw something and the kid seems to have the numbers... I'm glad to get him and anyone else JT sees fit to offer.

Apparently Jenkins doesn't have a good enough offer list for some. I guess if Miami, USC and Oklahoma haven't offered a kid then he's not scholarship material.

I think our staff does an outstanding job evaluating talent. Jenkins camped here and his performance was impressive enough to earn him a scholie. That should be enough for Buckeye fans. Winning a NC should be enough for Buckeye fans. Sadly, it's not.

No kidding-if he's got the wheels and the skills, as determined by the coaches at camp-I don't care if his only other offer was from Central State.
