Doc Tressel will be visiting Washington at his school today. There is no mention of an Ohio State offer in this update. He was going to go to Indiana until DiNardo was fired. He claims to have no favorite. |

According to this article the Bucks have not offered a scholarship yet but Washington has scheduled an official visit for Jan. 7th. Doc Tressell told him that they more than likely will offer a schollie in a few weeks. But tOSU is recruiting him as a Safety. Every other school is recruiting him as a wide receiver. |

Man, we sure are recruiting a lot of safeties. My dog just got an in home visit from Coach Tucker and a written offer from Coach Tressel. They're looking at her to play some corner or safety. She's taking all her visits so don't expect a committment any time soon. I think the film of her playing frisbee at the park sealed the deal.

I read that too...I am surprised to hear we are going after him as a safety. With so many guys in this class that COULD play safety that we either are actively pursuing, or already have in the fold, I am surprised to see us going after another. O'Neal could be a safety, Jenkins could be a safety, Smalls (offer in dispute) could be a safety, Eric Sledge could be a safety, Lenix could be a safety, Anderson Russell could be a safety, etc. Wonder how the coaches see him fitting in this class...(maybe that's why there hasn't been an offer yet) |

What is it with all these safety prospects? Maybe Salley is thinking of leaving early!! Or is it just these prospects can play multiple positions? Maybe the coaches see some of these recruits growing into fast, light linebackers!

Washington says tOSU leads over NE, Miami of Ohio, scUM and Duke. The Buckeyes have not offered yet but they seem to be in regular contact. He will officially visit tOSU on (1/8). |

Washington had an offer from Miami(OH) coach Terry Hoeppner and how that Hoeppner has taken over at Indiana he is recruiting him to be a Hoosier. Washington plans on taking an official to Bloomington to meet with the staff. He says that schools like Nebraska, Ohio State and scUM are starting to recruit him harder. |

It looks like uncommitted Indiana WR/DB prospect Donald Washington III will visit Ohio State this weekend. The Bucks have been tracking Washington for quite a while, and DWIII recently named the Bucks his favorite, even though he did not have an offer. Donald is a great athlete, though raw. He has offers from Wisconsin, Stanford, Duke, Miami (Ohio), Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. As a senior, he caught 45 passes for 800 yds and 10 TDs. He also had four picks (2 for TDs) and 2 fumble recoveries. Donald is academically qualified with a 3.2 GPA and a 19 ACT.
With several good offers on the table, it is interesting that he hasn't committed yet - maybe he (like Robiskie?) is/was waiting on an offer from the Bucks? Bucknuts article on Robiskie and Washington Last edited by LordJeffBuck; 01-25-2005 at 02:19 PM. |
