According to the latest Insiders update today Schoenhoft has just received offer #18, the latest one coming from Ohio State. He will still camp here this summer.

Without seeing every game he played last year it's hard to say who's fault that is. What were the receivers like? How good was the offensive line he played behind? Did they have a running game? scUM, LSU, Ohio State and 15 other schools sure haven't been scared off by his completion percentage.

i just looked at his film...looks like he can sure pass on the run, and he moves around in the pocket pretty well for a big guy. I thought he looked much better at the Nike Camp than Stull who suprised me how small he is. Stull is listed at 6'2", i would have said 6'1" and 181 seems right.

I read it in a few places and just looked at some old articles and found it quoted here-premium

As a junior his stats were humble: 63 of 171 for 888 yards.

Nutty- good points- he sure has an impressive offer list and he does appear to have a rocket arm but those stats are not pretty-I'll trust in Tress

I wasn't at Nike, but Stull's videos are somewhat more impressive than Schoenhoft's (although both are good, and the QB's have different styles). Stull has great footwork and sets up well and quickly in the pocket; he moves well in the pocket and can throw on the run; he is polished; however, Stull is small, and doesn't have a huge arm. Schoenhoft is much bigger and stronger, and has a real gun; he has more mobility than you'd expect; FWIW, some have compared Schoenhoft to John Navarre.

those on field statistics suck but the physical numbers are impressive. sounds like a project to me, fortunately we have no need for a qb to come right in and start (at least i hope not, otherwise man would zwick, smith, and boeckman have done poorly this upcoming season).

personally i have never seen him play so i have no choice but to have faith in the coaches, as if i really had a choice anyways.

I'm hearing conflicting info on his mobility. From the original description, John Navarre was exactly who I thought of. Now there is mention of his athletic ability and mobility, but that he has to work on his footwork. I'd love to hear from some people who have seen him.

From the video that's posted on Rivals I think comparing him to Navarre in the mobility department is a little unfair. Schoenhoft made the comment in one of the articles I read, and it was probably premium, that it isn't exactly like he's running around wearing cement shoes but also mentioned he probably won't be outrunning any DB's either. He also mentioned the fact he knows he has to work on his footwork. I think our current QB situation would allow us to be patient with the kid. He definitely has a strong arm, good size and did make some nice throws on the run. How well he executes an offense, protects the football and how well he can read defenses cannot be gauged by watching the little bit of film Rivals has. I'm sure those things are more important to our coaches than 40 times and completion percentages.

Agreed. That's why it is so hard to judge these kids from 3 minutes of film. To set the record straight, I did not say that Schoenhoft reminded me of Navarre; I was only repeating comments of some so-called "experts".

As far as Stull goes, I've seen his height reported as anywhere from 6'1" to 6'4", which is a pretty wide range. On film, he does look small, and thin (180 lbs is his reported weight, and that seems about right). Stull's size isn't ideal, but I don't think that it will hurt him. BTW, Jake Christensen is only 6' even (and some who have seen him say that that measurement is being generous).

according to Rivals- Rob will commit in the next few weeks after his camp visits are over. His favorites are Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida and LSU- he has offers from all except ND.

Everybody I have talked to has said that this kid is physically talented but is not that good of a QB. I want to get Sanchez and IMO Sanchez will end up alot better QB. This kid better hope Henne isn't as good as advertised or he'll be a permanent fixture on the skunk-badger-weasel bench.
